Chesaba (feat. Abel Selaocoe)
Fronted by virtuoso cellist Abel Selaocoe, Chesaba bring their African, jazz and classical-inspired music to Nottingham.
South African cellist Abel Selaocoe is redefining the parameters of the cello. He moves seamlessly across genres and styles and combines virtuosic performance with improvisation, singing and body percussion.
Definitely Oasis @ The Level
Definitely Oasis are regarded by many Oasis fans and promoters alike as the best Oasis tribute band there is.
The band regularly sell out top class venues across the UK and were recently the first ever tribute band to sell out Glasgow's iconic Garage Venue quite an achievement when you consider only 3 years ago the band played there first gig in Glasgow to less than 50 people to now playing closer to 1000 people shows how good this band is and how far they have come.
The Skids + Spear of Destiny ‘Days in Europa’ 45th Anniversary Tour @ The Level. An AGMP Concerts presentation.
The Skids formed in 1977 in their hometown of Dunfermline, Scotland by Richard Jobson, Stuart Adamson, Bill Simpson, & Tom Kellichan. After releasing an independent single the band were played by BBC Radio One's John Peel, supported The Clash in concert and then were signed to Virgin Records in 1978. Their first singles were "Sweet Surburbia", "The Saints are Coming" and "Into the Valley" - the latter reaching the UK Top Ten in early 1979.
The Spirit & Sound of Steely Dan @ The Level
Nearly Dan in concert. Less tribute and more homage, Nearly Dan is saviour to the growing legions of Dan fans, desperate to hear the meticulously crafted grooves and allusive lyrical style of Donald Fagen & Walter Becker. Nearly Dan's approach is faithful, though not reverential, and relaxed but as tight as their namesakes. They bring their own unique spirit and spontaneous humour to every concert.
It’s been over 40 years since the release of the first Steely Dan album “Can’t buy a Thrill”, featuring the hits “Do it Again” and “Reelin’ in the years.”
